Privacy policy
Draft. Review before launch. Last updated: [date TBC].
Who I am
Rock Squid Studio is a trading name of Matt Keeble, a sole trader based in the UK. I'm the data controller for anything you send through this site. ICO registration number: TBC.
What I collect
When you send the enquiry form I store what you enter: your name, email, the services you're interested in and your message, plus any optional details (phone, artist name, number of songs, genre, demo link, reference tracks, deadline, budget and how you heard about me).
I also count, without any personal data, when someone sends the form or taps the WhatsApp or call buttons, so I know which parts of the site work.
Why
To reply to your enquiry and, if you book, to do the work. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
Who processes it
- Cloudflare hosts the site, stores enquiries and runs the spam check (Turnstile).
- Resend sends the notification email to me and the confirmation email to you.
- Google Workspace holds our email conversation.
These providers may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards.
How long I keep it
Enquiries are deleted automatically after 12 months. If you book, project records are kept as long as needed for accounts and tax.
Cookies and analytics
This site doesn't set tracking cookies. Visitor numbers come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or fingerprinting. Turnstile may use strictly necessary data to tell people from bots.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete what I hold about you, or object to how it's used. Reply to any email from me, or use the contact form. If you're not happy with how I handle it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
