Questions, answered
The things people usually ask before booking. Anything missing? Just ask.
How does remote mixing work?
You send stems through WeTransfer, Dropbox or Google Drive, plus a rough mix and a couple of reference tracks. I send back a first mix, you send notes, I revise. We talk over WhatsApp or email, whichever you like.
How do I send you my files?
Bounce each track as a 24-bit WAV at the project sample rate, all starting from bar 1. The full checklist is in Preparing your files.
What do I get at the end?
Every mix comes with the full-res mix (24-bit WAV at the session rate), an MP3 and an instrumental. Other versions, grouped stems, DDP and vinyl pre-masters are add-ons.
How many revisions do I get, and what counts as one?
Mixes include three revisions and masters include two. A revision is one round of notes sent together, however many changes are in it. Extra rounds are £XX each.
How long does it take? Can you rush it?
Turnaround depends on the service and track count; the ranges are on the pricing page. Rush delivery is +50% for a first mix within 72 hours, if I have the space.
How do I pay?
A 50% deposit books your dates, and the balance is due before I send the final full-res files. Bank transfer or an emailed payment link. There are no payments on this site.
Can I sit in on the session?
Yes, remotely over Audiomovers or in person. Attended sessions are +50% on the mix price, because real-time collaboration takes longer.
Do you record in person?
Vocals and overdubs happen at my home studio. For full bands I track at a partner studio in the Cotswolds, with room hire bundled into the quote.
Where are you?
Based in [Town], [County]. I share the exact address privately once a session is booked.
Who owns the music?
You do, 100%. I don’t take royalties or points.
What if I'm not happy with the mix?
We work through your revisions first. If it still isn't right after those, you can walk away having paid only the deposit. You won't receive the final files.
